The mood has to be right....they like the carpet with roads on them and scale dragstrips the best.... That should at least help

The COPO Camaro
Red 2000GT (have the black one)
Fast and Furious Supra (seen it a million times, never liked it or wanted it, but I feel like I need it as a memory of Paul Walker)
Datsun 620
Spectrafrost Fox Mustang
Redline Fox Mustang
Yellow Chevelle Mooneyes wagon (have the black one)
Hurst Chevelle wagon (posted about it on oppo 2 or so weeks ago)

Yea I know you posted about the Hurst Chevelle...IT JUST came out. The mustangs were found at a ToysRus. Go find a Kroger store...I had crazy luck there finding cars.
My favorite is the red 2000GT...I looked EVERYWHERE for it...for a month or more. Finally found it at a random Dollar General! I was like a kid in the toys section...O wait...

I actually got my green Fox Mustang at a Kroger too. Stopped in the middle of nowhere Ohio to pick up snacks while driving from Louisville to Detroit, and out of habit checked the Hot Wheels rack. It was literally the last car they had (at least the last car that was out and not in back). After I left, they had no more cars on the pegs. Its now part of my green Mustang collection.

I'm not sure but I think this is the closest I have.... Pikes Peak Celica from 2000 Might be AWD

I would take these all out of the box and play with them. All day long.
When I was small, I used to have a big plank or board and put one end on my bed and the other end on the floor and drive them off. I still have all of them

If you notice I have two of both the COPO and 55 Gasser...one to play with and one for display. I also have numerous lose cars in cases.

Good grief, where did you find a specific casting of a Mustang SVO? What series is that?
I have the 92 Fox body, and some other mustangs, and probably an old 79 Fox like the spectrafrost example right below this one...
but I NEED a red SVO, and those wheels are great, too.

That is a great collection. I have a lot of cars, but you have some that I have never even seen before.
I may have to open up some of my display cases and take some pictures.

It is within the Boulevard series from 2013. I found mine at ToysRus. It will be very difficult to find one in stores now. You should try Ebay if you MUST have one. The car is actually more burnt orange in color.

I have some boulevard cars...
A DeLorean, a Fiero, the Vector W8, and a competition-modded 914...
I have never even seen an SVO Mustang... I will keep my eyes open for it, but I am not usually johnny-on-the-spot when they are put on the shelves, which is probably why I have never seen one.
I still kick myself a bit for not buying an A-Team van, and a KITT trans am the first time I saw them... I haven't seen them since, sort of like the 1:18 Ferrari 288 GTO that I decided not to impulse buy, and haven't seen another in almost 14 years... that one is "the one that got away".
I have loosened my 'impulse buy' attitude about 1-3$ cars, and pretty much just get any that catch my eye when they do... but I still sometimes have to think about the 5+$ cars, like M2 and others... I should just buy 'em.

I am the same way, I don't wait for restocks and what not. I just buy what is cool to me...which ends up being a ton of stuff lol. I also have that 914. I generally do not buy Boulevard cars but every now and then I can't pass a certain one up. The 914, the SVO since I am a Fox Body nut, and the Drag Merc from the last pic because it was marked down to $2 at the local oreillys after a year on the shelves!
I have been buying more lately because it is a hell of a lot cheaper than Mustang parts as well as the fact that I finally have a place to proudly display them.
This weekend I am going to buy a smallish shadowbox to put lose cars in that makes a cool effect. I will take pics and post them when I do.

New collector (THANKS OPPO) and want to know how they are displayed. Is that an off the rack product or did you create that display system. I want to keep them in the cards and I love that display idea.

I made these displays based off an idea from youtube. You use "ceiling strap" or panneling trim or whatever name gets you close at the hardware store lol. You have to cut to length and fasten a certain distance apart. Not too close or too far. The card should sit within the plastic with about a 1/4" overhang on either side. Too close and some long cars wont fit. I stapeled mine to plywood I cut and it works good. Just be sure to use really good paint or it will stick to the back of the cards and ruin your day.

Wow. Thanks for the reply, the tutorial and the video. That really is a simple yet brilliant system. Home Depot is definitely in my plans this weekend.
I had to watch the video twice cause I kept zoning on some car in your collection that I crave.
Thanks again.
